In the simplest terms, I am a woman, a wife, a stepmom, a daughter, a stepdaughter, a friend and an all-around great gal.
I launched the Erin Experiment on February 18, 2007 (read my first post here) as a digital playground where I could learn everything I ever wanted to know about online publishing and social media. The blog soon transitioned into a speaker's corner where I could talk a topic near and dear to my heart: being a stepmom.
Stepmotherhood is the second most challenging thing I've ever done in my life. The first was being a stepkid to a man I couldn't stand when I met him at age 13 but whom I now love, respect and consider my hero.
I'm an ever-evolving version of myself and I like to self-analyze and self reflect. I do not hold a degree in psychology, rather a BA in journalism which I've used for work my entire adult life.
This blog, or I, may shock you at times. It may also cause you to roll your eyes or jump up in excitement with a near-orgasmic YES, I AGREE!!!!! If this is the case, calmly hit the comment button and lend me your thoughts.
