One of the things that my husband finds incredibly sexy about me is the fact that I can talk politics and business with him without flinching an eye or throwing down a feminist card.
While I'll never be a Mary Matalin, I'm politically intelligent enough to know who I'm voting for and why.
That being said, I have a huge question to ask: What is the appeal of John McCain and Sarah Palin?
I am an Obama supporter. I've campaigned for the fine Senator from Illinois and I watched all of the debates and his DNC speech. I know half of what he says is from speechwriters; however, his campaign and his personal conviction moves me. I feel the same sense of pride that my 1960 counterparts probably felt during Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for you; Ask what you can do for your country" speech.
All of this being said, I don't get why people feel the same sense of pride for John McCain and Sarah Palin. I'm not going to open this up into a "why I don't like McCain-Palin debate" but I'm curious: what is the appeal?
